REDESIGN STUDY · DOC EDIT VIEW

Three ways to write in Orimora.

A self-hosted Markdown editor for people who live in their notes. Three different takes on the same doc edit view — different posture, same source of truth.

SIBLING STUDY · 04

The marketing home, in four passes.

Same Orimora content — editor, integrations, open-source story, pricing, FAQ — but four different envelopes. A dark sleek pass and a warm-paper editorial pass keep the live site's sectioned rhythm. The soft human pass is a structural rewrite: a single scrollable notebook with a pinned left TOC and a real Add-a-page button. The fourth pass goes loud — a brutalist manifesto, 12 numbered declarations, monospace body, oversized serif display, full-bleed color blocks, no radius, no shadow. The room around the content is what changes.

04a · SLEEK PASS · DARK

Home — sleek

Dark warm-black envelope. Grain and auras dropped, bento and pricing more breathable, one live Kaizen pulse animation in the hero mockup, clay used at most twice per section. The closer pass to the live site.

04b · PAPER PASS · LIGHT

Home — paper editorial

Warm paper editorial. Cormorant Garamond display + Inter body, no theme toggle, ink-bordered featured pricing, dark-inverted CTA, framed DocumentNetwork labeled "fig. 01". A magazine treatment of the same 12 sections.

04c · NOTEBOOK · LIGHT

Home — the notebook

A structural rewrite. The page IS the product: a single scrollable notebook with a pinned left TOC. 10 chapters from cover to "Add a page" — real prose voice, no feature grids, no terminal. Sage as the only accent; clay and mustard only on the integration sticky-notes. The "Add a page" button actually inserts a new page.

04d · MANIFESTO · CLAY

Home — the manifesto

Brutalist. 12 numbered declarations, monospace body, oversized serif display, 2px ink borders, full-bleed color blocks (clay, ink, sage, cream alternating). No radius, no shadow, no fake chrome. The Orimora copy was already manifestoy — "Code you are allowed to read.", "Off by default. Opt-in.", "Made with ◆ in Germany" — so the form finally matches the tone. Loud. Type-only.
