orimora
a quiet place for the things you learn.

Open the notebookChapter one
Today, you start writing things down.
Orimora is a place to put the things you learn. Not an archive — a place where what you've written can grow, change, and reach the people it should reach. Today, you start writing things down.
It doesn't look like much yet. That's the point.
Knowledge is not an archive. It lives.
Chapter two
A quiet hour later.
You can write in Markdown, or in plain text, or just in long thoughts. Orimora doesn't make a fuss about it — the page stays out of your way, the words stay yours. The editor knows about headings, links, code, tables, and footnotes. That's it. That's the whole list.
The page you're reading right now is one. Open it, type in it, save it. It will be here tomorrow.
Chapter three
You connect what you already have.
Your notes are already somewhere. Obsidian. VS Code. A Git repo. Orimora doesn't ask you to move them — it reaches in, reads, and links, and your existing files stay exactly where they are.
And if you want to talk to it from somewhere new, it speaks the Model Context Protocol, so an assistant can read and write your notes for you. Off by default. Opt-in. We mean it.
Chapter four
Then one day, you find an old thought you forgot.
You type a word. Orimora finds the note you wrote in March 2024. You read it for a minute, and you remember why you were thinking about that in the first place. The thought is yours again.
Search goes through everything you've written, not just titles. It works in German, English, and the language you happen to be thinking in.

Chapter six
And then, you open the doors.
We made Orimora open source. AGPLv3-or-later, with a CLA. The whole codebase is on Git. You can read it, change it, host it on a server in your basement, or on a Hetzner box in Falkenstein, or on a Raspberry Pi in the kitchen. Off by default. Opt-in. We mean it.
Chapter seven

We're still writing. Here's what's coming next, in the order we're writing it.
